Bredesen Protocol Coaching

PreCODE & ReCODE

Your guide to the day-to-day of the Bredesen Protocol.

As a Bredesen-trained brain health coach, I provide coaching support to Apollo Health PreCODE and ReCODE subscribers. The protocol was developed by Dale Bredesen, MD, whose research-backed programs — PreCODE for prevention and ReCODE for those already experiencing cognitive symptoms — take a personalized, multi-factor approach to brain health. A physician provides the medical direction. I provide the coaching, the steady, practical work of turning a detailed protocol into habits you can sustain. That gap, between knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently, is where most people need support, and it’s where I focus.

What does a PreCODE or ReCODE Coach do?

- Serves as a liaison and translator between you and your physician, clarifying complex information and instructions.

- Helps interpret your PreCODE or ReCODE report and prioritize where to begin.

- Teaches you the seven pillars of the Bredesen Protocol.

- Co-creates realistic goals and strategies for putting the protocol into practice.

- Supports you and your care partner as you navigate new and demanding roles.

Why work with a coach?

If you’re a PreCODE or ReCODE member already working with a Bredesen-trained physician, why add a coach? Because the protocol asks a great deal of you day to day, and knowing what to do is rarely the hard part — doing it consistently is.

Physicians and coaches play distinct roles. Your physician uses your report to set the medical plan: the “what.” As your coach, I work with you on the “how” — how to fit the protocol into a real life, sustain it through setbacks, and keep going. The protocol is demanding, and results depend on consistent adherence over time. Coaching exists to make that adherence more achievable.

Frequently asked questions

Must I have a physician to work with you? For PreCODE or ReCODE clients, I require you to have a Bredesen-trained physician or a primary care physician willing to support the protocol.

Can you guarantee the protocol will work?  No, and I’d be cautious of anyone who does. The protocol is research-backed, but outcomes vary and depend heavily on how consistently it’s followed. My role is to give you the best possible support in doing that work.
