Find Your Tribe to Be Happier & Live Longer

Have you found your tribe?

One of the MOST powerful ways to ensure a longer, more vital life is to take an active role in a COMMUNITY of like-minded folks.

Longevity experts report that knowing your role in a committed group with a common purpose is essential for a long and fulfilling life.

It can actually add years to your life.

So simple...yet so difficult in a world of technology and social isolation.

And it takes effort. Your tribe is not out there looking for you.

If you’re feeling alone or without connection, here are some first steps to find your community:

  • Think back to your youth. What fascinated you? What did you dream of? What were you obsessed with? What brought you joy? What do you regret not pursuing?
  • Make a list of those youthful obsessions. Was it a sport? An animal? A profession? A lifestyle? A hobby? A political position? A spiritual belief? A talent?
  • Now choose. Pick at least one early passion that you’d like to re-visit.
  • Time to search for your like-minded group. Google it with the name of your city. Seek-out local organizations, clubs, churches, volunteer centers. Download the ‘Meet Up’ app and find groups that match your interests.
  • Now take a deep breath and reach out. Go to a meeting. Attend an event. Commit your time. Put yourself out there.
  • I know. It takes effort. It takes courage.

I DID IT TODAY!

All in one fell swoop I became a new member In my church AND I committed to a major committee post for my sorority alumni chapter (yay, Tri Delta).

Now it’s your turn. Your tribe is out there waiting for you.
